Packing for California in the Rain

Lol! I'm packing for California in the rain. Humm? Now I'm not sure what to pack. I was thinking it would be 95 in Sacramento so shorts and t-shirts. Well it cant be colder in California than in Oregon. I was trying to pack as little as possible. He he! Now I'm thinking pants and long sleeves.

I started to pack my bathroom stuff but then realized that I will need this stuff in the morning. I was going to do my clothes but am washing them right now. I feel guilty just sitting here on the blog but really, I must wait to pack.

I did make a list of stuff to bring. It has everything I can think of to take. So that is nice. Because of the list, hopefully I wont forget anything.

I found a cool web site for road trip games. I think it was momsminivans.com. They have a lot of stuff you can print out like road bingo, tic tac toe, and connect the dots. I ended up making mikala a travel bag with tones of stuff to do for the 16 hour trip there and back.

I also am going to take the DVD player and movies. This kills so much time.

Well I better go. As I'm typing, I'm thinking of stuff I can pack and get ready. Lol!

Cant wait to see you all!

Mikala's First Dance

Last night the 5th graders from Mikala's school had there first dance. It was really more like graduation party. They has lots of games for the kids to play as a big group. They had this awesome trailer with big barbecues on it making hamburgers, hot dogs and chicken. Yummy! Everybody brought a side dish so there was mass goodies for for the kids. Kids were taking turns getting up and singing in front of everybody. I motioned to Mikala to ask her if she was going to do it. She said yes. When it was her turn, she and her girl friend got up and sang some little bunny song regarding shaken there tails. And they did. Humm? Towards the end of the party, the host put all the boys on one side of the room and girls on the other. Then she tried to pair up the boys and girls but they weren't haven that and I was so happy. He he. Anyways it was fun. Its 10AM and Mikala is still sleeping lol.

The other cool thing last night was the street we were on had a cruz. Ben (Mikala's friend) was at the party with us. We were sitting by a window and he was telling me what the different cars were when they drove by. He is like 8 or 9 years old. So I thought Id test him and took him outside to get a better view. Man he was awesome and knows his cars. That was cool for me because the only car I know is my own.
