Apple Time

Chris took me to the mall today to get a snack for each of us. I had been craving ice cream for a week so that's what I wanted. We were walking around the mall and I spotted a new candy store. In the window were a bunch of different kinds of caramel apples. Chris got a rocky road kind. It cost $6.50. Chris had just bought the stuff to make them at home but we hadn't done it yet. Well I got a hair up my butt to make them after thinking about how much that "One" cost. I had forgotten how many candies you have to have for each apple but I think it is like 8 per apple. I used the bag of caramels for four apples. Doesn't that seem like a lot? And the last one didn't have enough to go all around. You cant tell by the picture because I turned them all to show there best side lol. I didn't have the sticks so I used chop sticks lol. They seem to be holding up just fine. Now they are Japanese Caramel Apples. He he! Anyways this was fun to do and I recommend doing it on a dark winter day when you have nothing to do.

Chris' Gift

We went to Portland yesterday to see "Disney On Ice" and Chris couldn't go because he had to work. I felt so bad for him because its a family tradition we have. Well he may go this weekend but anyways...........We were at the mall killing time before the show started. I wanted to goto the Disney store and see what they had and maybe get Mikala a small gift instead of getting it at the ice rink because as I told you, cotton candy was $10.00 and I didn't have a lot of money to spend. Anyways as we were looking around I was looking for anything Maleficent because that is Chris' favorite. Guess what I found? Mikala and I were going to come back to Portland at the first of the month to get it for Chris (when I got paid again) but his sister Rachel turned out to be the hero of this story and fronted me the money. Let me tell you, when Chris opened the bag and realized what it was, it took his breath away. HE LOVES IT! Sorry Jen! I could only get one but I think of you and Chris both when I look at it.

Disney On Ice

Last night we took the kids to see Disney On Ice. It was great. The kids had a blast. Disney passed out wrist bands that had two buttons and a red light on the and had the kids help take out the bad guy. It was awesome to see all the kids get so excited like they were really taken out the bad guy. Lol! Um I would like to say althought we only paid $10.00 a ticket, cotton candy was $10.00 each. Sheesh! Lol! We got popcorn and soda insted.

Time for a Party!

A lot of people think that Jehovah's Witness kids miss out because we don't celebrate the holidays. Well, Chris & I try to make up for anything Mikala doesn't get to do. This last weekend was a "just because party" and let me tell you, they loved it. Do you know what the hit of the party was? A broom stick for playing limbo. Lol! I had chips & bean dip. Veggie tray with olives, carrots, and broccoli. Punch to drink and warm chocolate chip cookies right out of the oven. Yummy! We went to the school and played on the equipment then went to a park. The board games Sorry and Memory were brought out. I lost to both lol. We had a great time and I think it will be a memory that they will remember all there lives.
