Sad

I got a call today from a lady that works at a place called "looking glass." I think they help teens in different ways like help find a place to rent and then help with the rent and such. Anyways, this lady was calling for an apartment for a girl who is 16 and living at the mission. I inquired why the girl was living there and found out both of her parents have died and I guess she has no family to take her in. SHE IS LIVING AT THE MISSION. Poor baby. It just kills me to think of her living there. All those nasty people that are there. I take it also she has been there for a few years. I dont understand why she isnt in a foster home. I cant stop thinking if that was my daughter and she was at the mission I would die again. I wounder how many young ones there are there and with no moms and dads to help them? Sad!

First Pepsi

As some of you know Mikala has celiac so she can not have wheat. Some products have things in them like say caramel coloring that don't say what the caramel coloring is made of so we just don't buy it. Mikala has never had Pepsi or Root Beer before because of this. Last night I got on the internet and looked up Pepsi and asked if they had wheat in there soda. They said they didn't. Mikala had her first Root Beer last night with w/f (wheat free) pizza that we made together and today had her first Pepsi. Woot! She liked it. Needless to say when I picked her up from school today we went shopping for soda and she wanted to buy one of each of the Pepsi products. Sure. What ever. NOT! I'm not having my pre-teen hopped up on soda. I am happy that it is another this she can have though.
